Our Materials and Raw Timber
We carefully select our materials to ensure that your decorative woodwork and our mouldings will last for generations. Here you can read more about the raw materials we use: solid pine, birch plywood, and slow-grown northern Swedish timber for our own profiled mouldings.
Decorative Woodwork in Solid Pine
For those who value traditional building craftsmanship, we offer decorative woodwork in solid, knot-free northern Swedish pine. The timber is finger-jointed for optimal strength and is available in several dimensions depending on the product.
Solid wood has been used for generations and provides an authentic expression suited to period restoration. It is a natural choice if you wish to recreate the classic style from the time before plywood became widely used. Pine also offers a warm and lively character that ages beautifully over time.

Decorative Woodwork in Birch
We use birch from Finnish forests, manufactured into plywood in 18 and 24 mm thicknesses. All our birch plywood is WBP bonded (Water and Boil Proof), using the same type of adhesive as in marine applications, which makes the material highly resistant to moisture and dimensional movement.
Birch plywood offers excellent stability and strength. It does not easily split and allows for very fine and detailed cut-outs in our designs. This makes it an excellent choice for intricate decorative woodwork and traditional fretwork patterns.

Wooden Mouldings in Pine and Spruce
For our mouldings, skirting boards, architraves and handrails, we use carefully selected Swedish pine from northern forests. The timber is planed to our own profiles using custom-made cutters, giving each moulding and detail a distinctive character and a high level of precision. Unlike many mass-produced alternatives, our mouldings are not finger-jointed or laminated. You receive solid wood throughout.
Our crown mouldings are made from Swedish spruce, which is particularly well suited to these profiles. Spruce creates a lighter expression and harmonises beautifully with classic interiors.
Both pine and spruce are supplied untreated, ready to be painted or finished in the colour of your choice. With genuine Nordic timber, you receive a material that is durable, natural and timeless.
