1. Scope

These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases and agreements made with Gaveldekor Sverige AB through our online shop or by individual agreement (e.g. via e-mail or telephone).

By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

2. Orders and Contract Formation

The presentation of products on the website does not constitute a legally binding offer, but an invitation to place an order.

A binding purchase agreement is formed when we confirm your order by e-mail or when the goods are dispatched, whichever occurs first.

3. Prices and VAT

All prices are shown in EUR or another applicable currency depending on the selected market.

  • For customers within the EU, prices include applicable VAT.
  • For customers outside the EU (e.g. United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway), VAT, customs duties and handling fees may apply and are borne by the customer.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to adjust prices due to changes in supplier costs, taxes or other circumstances beyond our control.

4. Payment

Available payment methods are displayed at checkout and may include card payment, invoice and other third-party payment services.

Payments in the webshop are processed securely by our payment service providers. We do not store full card or payment details.

For manual orders invoiced directly by Gaveldekor Sverige AB, international payments must be received in full before goods are dispatched.

5. Delivery

Delivery methods and shipping costs depend on the size, weight and destination of the order and are calculated during checkout or stated in a quotation for manual orders.

  • Smaller items may be delivered to a pickup point or service location.
  • Larger or long items are delivered by home delivery to the specified address.

Delivery times vary depending on product type and season, but are normally 1–3 weeks, unless otherwise stated.

If a stated delivery time cannot be met, you will be informed and have the right to cancel the order.

6. Right of Withdrawal (EU & UK)

Consumers within the European Union and the United Kingdom have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, starting from the day the goods are received.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, please notify us within 14 days by e-mail at order@gaveldekor.se. Please include your name, address, order number and the products concerned.

Returned goods must be unused, undamaged and returned within 14 days after notification. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs, unless the return is due to a defective or incorrectly delivered product.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that are custom-made, made-to-measure or clearly personalized according to the customer’s specifications.

7. Returns Outside the EU

For customers outside the European Union, returns may be accepted on a voluntary basis after prior agreement with our customer service.

All return shipping costs, customs duties, clearance fees and related charges are borne by the customer.

8. Complaints and Defective Goods

All products are inspected before shipment. If a product is damaged or defective upon delivery, please contact us as soon as possible at order@gaveldekor.se, preferably including photos and your order number.

If a defect is confirmed, we will repair, replace or refund the product in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws. Statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.

Please do not return any goods without prior approval.

9. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, except where liability cannot be excluded under mandatory law.

Natural variations in wood and other living materials (such as grain, knots, resin or color changes) are considered normal characteristics and do not constitute defects.

10. United Kingdom – Customs, VAT & Returns

For deliveries to the United Kingdom, goods are shipped from Sweden (outside the UK). This may result in additional charges such as import VAT, customs duties and handling fees. These charges are determined by UK authorities and carriers and are paid by the customer.

If a delivery is refused or not collected due to unpaid import charges, we reserve the right to deduct any return shipping costs, fees and carrier charges from the refund.

Returns from the United Kingdom are possible within the applicable return period. The customer is responsible for return shipping, customs clearance and any related costs. Please contact us before returning goods from the UK.

11. Dispute Resolution and Applicable Law

We aim to resolve any disputes amicably.

Consumers within the EU may use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

Unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection law, these Terms & Conditions are governed by Swedish law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

12. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version published on the website at the time of the order applies.
