Backbands and casing extensions are used to build out and widen existing door casings. By adding a narrow trim beside the casing, the doorway gains greater depth and a more pronounced shadow line. This creates a clearer and more deliberate frame, suitable for both contemporary interiors and older homes.
Two-part casing and extended profiles
Our backbands work both as part of traditional two-part casing solutions and for those who want to create a custom look with more depth than standard casings provide. Widths such as 27 and 33 mm are uncommon in Europe and are more often associated with classic American trim styles, yet they integrate naturally in both modern and traditional interiors.
All trims are supplied unfinished in solid Scandinavian pine and can be painted to match the rest of the home. The profiles are milled for precision and stability, making them suitable for both renovation projects and new builds.
A coherent interior detail
Backbands and extension trims offer a flexible way to give door and window openings a more structured and refined appearance. They are designed to work seamlessly with our door casings, skirting boards, crown mouldings and plinth blocks, making it easy to create a consistent and well-balanced interior.
