Decorative moulding frames are a traditional way of dividing a wall into panels and adding depth and character to a room. The technique is commonly used for picture frame panelling, wall panelling and boiserie, with rectangular frames arranged to suit the proportions of the wall.

The frames can cover an entire wall or be combined with a dado rail to create half-height panelling. By varying the width and height of the frames, the layout can be adapted to doors, windows, furniture and the proportions of the room.

Pre-cut and mitred to your measurements

Making wall panels from lengths of moulding normally means measuring, cutting and mitring every piece yourself. With our pre-cut wall panel mouldings, you simply enter the required width and height of each frame when ordering.

We cut the mouldings to the correct lengths with 45-degree mitres. Each frame is supplied as four separate pieces, ready to assemble and install on the wall.

Profiled timber mouldings in different styles

The frames are made from the same timber profiles as our decorative mouldings, wall mouldings and panel mouldings sold by the metre. Different profiles and widths make it possible to create anything from simple, understated wall panels to more decorative interiors inspired by traditional European and Scandinavian interiors.

Paint the wall and mouldings in the same colour

Wall panel mouldings are often fixed directly to the wall and painted in the same colour as the surrounding surface. This creates a calm, cohesive appearance while the profiled mouldings catch the light and create subtle highlights and shadows across the wall.
