Posts & Columns

Turned and profiled wooden columns with a classic expression, rural tradition, and decorative character. Bevelled columns with grooves, patterns, and profiled details add a nostalgic quality and help reinforce the historical character of many older houses, as well as new homes built with turned wooden posts in a traditional style. Combine with top rails, post caps, and railing profiles in a classic design.

Straight Wooden Columns and Fence Posts

Profiled edges and milled grooves on square wooden columns are part of a traditional carpentry practice often associated with turn-of-the-century houses and historic architectural styles. These wooden columns enhance the overall impression of verandas, entrance porches, and balconies.

Older houses from the late 19th and early 20th century are often characterised by generous verandas and balconies, where profiled wooden columns play an important role in both form and architectural expression.

Fence Posts, Columns and Wooden Posts, Turned

Our turned wooden columns are typically 2500 mm in height, while fence posts are usually 1150 mm. You will also find posts intended to be placed between floor and top rail, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Here you will find turned wooden posts.

One or two mouldings can be fitted around the post to create a traditional post collar detail.
