Our Swedish-made wood mouldings and architraves bring timeless detail to both historic homes and new builds. Inspired by 19th- and early 20th-century styles, they include skirting boards, window casings/architraves, door casings/architraves and decorative profiles that capture the atmosphere of turn-of-the-century interiors.
Whether you are renovating and want to recreate traditional woodwork, or building new with a classic touch, our mouldings in Nordic cottage style offer durable pine profiles supplied untreated and ready for painting.
Unique Profiles from Every Era
Our collection ranges from 19th-century national romanticism to early 20th-century Art Nouveau. Over the years we have reproduced many historic profiles of skirtings, window casings/architraves, door casings/architraves and decorative mouldings, ensuring authentic details that you will not find everywhere.
Combine Decorative Mouldings with Skirtings
A simple way to create the impression of a tall baseboard is to mount a narrow wall moulding 10–30 cm above the skirting. By adding a thin wooden panel in between and painting them together, you achieve a seamless, high base typical of turn-of-the-century homes.
Frame the Ceiling with Crown Mouldings
Installing a narrow wall moulding below the crown moulding gives the ceiling a defined frame and enhances the sense of height. Combining mouldings in different sizes reinforces the classic impression of early 20th-century interiors.
Custom-Made Wood Mouldings
We regularly receive requests for bespoke mouldings to match profiles in historic houses, log cabins and even 17th- and 18th-century timber buildings. If you need to replicate an existing moulding, we can help with precision craftsmanship and custom production.
Choosing the Right Proportions
Double doors or patio doors are best framed with wider casings/architraves for balance, while smaller windows require narrower profiles. The same applies outdoors, where symmetry and proportion enhance the overall appearance of façades and porches.
All mouldings are produced and planed in our workshop in Sala, Sweden. You are welcome to order online for home delivery or arrange collection by appointment.
